Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer for the Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) Team in Boise, Idaho. You will oversee planning, design, and execution of modular components, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet specifications, budget, and timelines.

Role focuses on avoiding and solving technical issues, driving OSM innovations, and leading quality control through preconstruction to closeout.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing construction or pre-fabrication experience.
• Specific experience in industrial and/or hi-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects is highly preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional, or ability to become accredited within eighteen (18) months preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily planning and coordination of OSM manufacturing activities, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
• Interface between Area Construction Managers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Verify documentation is complete and that approved materials/equipment are installed correctly, completely, and safely.
• Understand BIM to ensure interface between models and construction is coordinated and clash-free.
• Help drive innovation within design and construction planning through all phases of the project.
• Manage OSM data performance and specific OSM data metrics.
• Review project submittal information for coordination, accuracy, and functionality.
• Distribute RFIs and change in scope documents to OSM members.
• Assist in buyout and procurement of OSM subcontractors and equipment, including subcontracts review.
• Assist in estimating and tracking project budgets and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Support review of project billings and billing schedule of values for OSM subcontractors and vendors.
