Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company seeks a Life Safety Systems Construction Manager to lead the onsite electrical quality control and manage the Electrical Team within our Construction Management department in Boise, ID. You will coordinate with design professionals, clients, and subs to drive MEP system startups and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

The role requires five years of MEP experience, including industrial/high-tech facilities, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

Five years of MEP construction experience.
Experience in industrial and hi-tech semiconductor projects.
Experience working in live high-tech facilities.
LEED Accredited Professional, or ability to become accredited within 18 months preferred.
High School diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Oversee electrical subcontractor and vendor installation work daily to ensure schedule adherence and startup readiness.
Coordinate startups for mechanical and electrical systems with multiple trades.
Review documentation to ensure construction completion and safe startup.
Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements.
Organize training for clients' personnel on operations and maintenance of MEP systems.
Lead startup meetings with clients, design teams, subs, and utilities.
Review submittals for accuracy and functionality across MEP components.
Process RFIs and change documents.
Site field surveys and acting as technical advisor on site.
