Job summary

tms is seeking a Credentials Coordinator (CPCS or CPMSM required) to join Medical Staff Services in St. Helena, CA.

This onsite, full-time role manages the credentialing lifecycle for providers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely credentialing from initial appointment to reappointment. The ideal candidate will perform primary source verification, coordinate privileging and FPPE, support onboarding, maintain the staff database, and ensure adherence to bylaws, Joint Commission, and CMS

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Staff Credentialing experience.
• Current CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist) OR CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management) certification.
• Strong understanding of Medical Staff credentialing processes, primary source verification, regulatory compliance, and Medical Staff databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage provider credentialing from initial appointment through reappointment.
• Complete primary source verification and maintain accurate credential files.
• Coordinate provider privileging and FPPE.
• Support provider onboarding, including system access, orientation, and badge coordination.
• Maintain the Medical Staff database with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Joint Commission, CMS, and regulatory standards.
• Handle confidential medical staff information with professionalism and discretion.
• Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and internal departments throughout the credentialing process.
