Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Peabody, MA seeks a full-time Medical Assistant for an onsite, 40-hour workweek in a busy practice. Training 8:30–5:00 for 90 days; then starts shift 7:45–5:00 or 8:00–5:00 with one half-day weekly. You’ll support patient flow and examinations under supervision.

The ideal candidate has MA training or 1+ year experience and national MA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT). Primary care focus with cross-coverage in specialties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) - preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1–2 years required.
• Epic experience
• Ambulatory/Outpatient experience
• Primary Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment.
• Interview patients, obtain medical information, and record vital signs.
• Explain treatments and instructions; organize educational materials.
• Perform general office duties and coordinate with other departments.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; phlebotomy if competent.
