Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Brigham and Women’s Health Care Center in Pembroke is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support the Family Medicine practice on-site. The role runs Monday through Friday, 9:15am-5:45pm, with potential cross-coverage in other specialties.

Expect autonomous clinical tasks aligned with education and certification, and collaboration within the care team. The ideal candidate has MA experience, strong patient interaction skills, and is comfortable handling vital signs,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs, documents patient information, and records in medical chart.
• Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess needs.
• Explain treatments, medications, diets, and physician instructions.
• Perform general office duties and coordinate with other departments.
• Collect blood or specimens and prepare for testing; phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates.
• Provide immunizations as applicable with required certification/experience.
• Support quality initiatives like patient identifiers and hand hygiene.
