Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Customer Service Representative – Eligibility Specialist (ES) in New Castle, IN. The role handles high-volume inbound calls related to Medicaid, SNAP, and TANF, processes applications, and maintains cases in the state eligibility system.

Employees work onsite from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, at a base rate of $18.00 per hour. The package includes comprehensive insurance options, retirement plans, PTO, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0-2 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Previous customer support or client service experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to handle complex service inquiries via telephone.

Responsibilities

• Receive, assess, and screen applications; collect outstanding information.
• Validate income, assess eligibility, and manage case referrals.
• Engage daily with program participants and educate on services and eligibility.
