Job summary

Boston Government Services (BGS) seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support the Y12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, designing and specifying major equipment such as gloveboxes, furnaces, and high vacuum systems within a secure government environment. The ideal candidate holds a ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree, 10+ years of experience, U.S.

citizenship, and eligibility for a DOE Q security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 10 years of experience.
• U.S. citizen; eligible for security clearance (DOE Q clearance).

Responsibilities

• Create design concepts using CREO CAD and topology optimization as appropriate.
• Lead multi-discipline machine design efforts and produce build-to-print equipment fabrication packages.
• Other duties as assigned.
