Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Dublin, VA based, fully onsite contract role. You will lead process trials, provide on-floor engineering support, and optimize production methods to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Materials, and Operations to balance manpower, run time studies, and implement continuous improvement across processes while supporting launch readiness and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on engineering and production with a bachelor's degree, or 8 years with an associate degree.
• Experience in industrial and manufacturing engineering, including workflow analysis and layout optimization.
• Experience supporting new product introductions and engineering changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support new process trials to validate manufacturability, capability, and stability.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to maintain stable, efficient operations.
• Establish and maintain production methods, standards, tooling, and equipment.
• Drive safety and ergonomics improvements through design and process changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and Lean processes.
• Coordinate new products and engineering changes with manpower planning.
• Lead process development, prototype builds, and launch readiness.
• Identify and standardize process improvements using Lean Six Sigma.
• Analyze assembly operations with data-driven methods and time studies.
• Develop accurate production standards using MOST or equivalent.
