Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite role in Oxford, NC. The candidate will define and sustain cost-efficient manufacturing equipment, contribute to new machinery design, and lead small cross-functional projects on the factory floor and in design offices.

Responsibilities include creating work instructions, analyzing changes for safety and quality, and supporting ergonomics and cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining documentation and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field required.
• Experience across manufacturing processes, tooling, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma and lean concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define, justify, implement, and sustain cost-effective manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Contribute to design, modification, and deployment of new machinery and tooling.
• Provide safety and quality input to guide operations and engineering decisions.
• Lead small projects and coordinate with Operations, Product Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, routings, and standards.
• Analyze changes to methods to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
