Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead a cross-functional engineering team on the manufacturing floor in Fountain Inn, SC, driving process development and continuous improvement to scale production.

You will collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and operations to address process gaps, optimize material flow, and translate EBOMs to MBOMs within a PLM environment, emphasizing lean manufacturing and on-floor mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
• Mechanical engineering considered
• 5+ years in fast-paced manufacturing engineering
• Translate EBOMs to MBOMs in PLM-integrated environment
• Proficient in 3D CAD for fixtures/layouts (CREO/SolidWorks)
• Experience with MES integration and lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and direct an engineering team on the manufacturing floor.
• Support project-based initiatives and escalated work items in a fast-paced environment.
• Drive process development to optimize cycle time, yield, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and operations to meet output goals.
• On-floor troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and process issues and rapid containment.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting lean, standardized work.
• Manage projects with timelines and deliverables toward manufacturing goals.
