Job summary
RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Development Engineer II for its onsite Tucson, AZ facility. You will provide technical manufacturing support for a program from early development through transition to production, helping establish and execute the manufacturing plan and influence program decisions.
You will apply knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, and factory requirements to drive producibility improvements, workflow standards, and process robustness across the value
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing production.
- Experience with manufacturing process development or improvement.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
- Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
Responsibilities
- Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
- Assist with review of engineering designs and translate into manufacturing processes.
- Translate engineering requirements into manufacturing processes.
- Apply manufacturing engineering skills across the value stream to resolve constraints and improve designs.
