Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Development Engineer II for its Tucson, AZ facility. This onsite role involves providing technical manufacturing support from early development through transition to production, shaping the manufacturing plan and influencing program decisions across the value stream.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with at least 2 years in manufacturing, experience in process development, and the ability to obtain interim and final DoD security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)required, with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production and with manufacturing process development/improvement.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (secret) and interim clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Review engineering designs and translate requirements into manufacturing processes.
• Translate engineering requirements into manufacturing processes and improve producibility.
• Apply manufacturing engineering skills to resolve constraints across the value stream and improve design.”],
