Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Development Engineer II to support programs from early development through transition to production. You will help establish and execute the manufacturing plan, leveraging knowledge of capabilities, technologies, and factory requirements to influence program decisions within the value stream.

Responsibilities include developing MDPS, translating designs to manufacturing, and improving producibility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
Experience in manufacturing production and process development/improvement.
Ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance (secret).

Responsibilities

Participation in manufacturing development.
Participation in Design for Manufacturing activities.
Manufacturing process development to ensure factory readiness and improve product producibility.
Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
Assisting with review of engineering designs and translating requirements into manufacturing processes.
Translating engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes.
Applying manufacturing engineering skills across the extended value stream to resolve constraints and improve designs.
Providing input on manufacturability and cost/quality objectives.
