Job summary

Banyan Living in the greater Cleveland area seeks a Maintenance Technician to join our team and keep our properties in top condition. You will tackle a variety of maintenance tasks, perform repairs, and handle preventative maintenance to ensure residents enjoy a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include inspections, responding to requests, repairing plumbing and electrical systems, preparing units for new tenants, and maintaining proper documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair work.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly, ensuring great customer service and satisfaction.
• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Prepare vacant units for new tenants by ensuring repairs and maintenance tasks are performed.
• Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance activities and track supply inventory.
• Work collaboratively with the property management team to address and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times.
