Job summary

Banyan Living, a trusted provider of luxury apartment living in the greater Cleveland area, seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our properties safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to resident requests with a service-first mindset.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (tech certs preferred), 1+ year maintenance experience, and solid plumbing/electrical skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field.
Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair work.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Availability for on-call duties and emergency maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly with strong customer service.
Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
Prepare vacant units for new tenants after repairs and maintenance.
Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance activities and track inventory.
Collaborate with the property management team to resolve issues efficiently.
Follow safety protocols and keep a clean, organized work area.
