Job summary

Banyan Living, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in the greater Cleveland area. The role focuses on routine inspections, preventative maintenance across building systems, and timely response to resident requests.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of maintenance experience, knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, and a customer-focused approach. On-site work with on-call duties is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair work preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Availability for on-call duties and emergency maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all building systems and equipment
• Respond to resident maintenance requests promptly, ensuring great customer service and satisfaction
• Complete repairs on plumbing, electrical, and appliances
• Prepare vacant units for new tenants by ensuring repairs and maintenance tasks are performed
• Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance activities and track supply inventory
• Work collaboratively with the property management team to address and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times
