Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage inside and external buildings, grounds, and common areas to Greystar standards. You will respond to maintenance requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs with safety in mind.

You will oversee make-ready tasks, coordinate vendors, and ensure quality work while staying within budget. Strong customer service and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Provide own hand tools; know safe use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to diagnose and fix problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests and diagnose defects, completing repairs per safety rules.
• Oversee make-ready process: inspections, punch list, vendors, supplies, and repairs.
• Set and uphold standards for grounds, exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Periodically inspect work by team members and contractors for quality.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with Community Manager on budgets.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance per Policy and Procedure Manual.
