Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our onsite team in Chicago, IL. You will work on critical enterprise applications running on IBM Mainframe platforms, with strong hands-on COBOL, JCL, DB2 for z/OS, and CICS skills.

You will collaborate with business, operations, and distributed teams to analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy mainframe solutions, while contributing to production support and performance tuning, and adhering to SDLC/Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Must have strong hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe (z/OS) and core technologies.
• Experience in CO BOL, JCL, DB2 for z/OS, and CICS required.
• Proven ability to analyze issues, perform RCA, and work in SDLC/Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy Mainframe applications.
• Code and enhance using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Monitor batch jobs and scheduling activities.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders for requirements and impact analysis.
• Support system integration and UAT activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and transfer knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and procedures.
