Job summary
Capgemini in Chicago is seeking an experienced Mainframe Professional to support critical enterprise applications on IBM Mainframe platforms. You will develop, maintain and troubleshoot mainframe apps, using COBOL, JCL, DB2 and CICS, with strong batch processing and incident management skills.
Work onsite with cross-functional teams; expect RDLC/Agile environment, production support, and RCA focus. Capgemini offers broad enterprise benefits and an inclusive, global team culture.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe (z/OS).
- Strong knowledge of JCL, VSAM and CICS.
- Experience with TSO/ISPF and SDSF.
- Familiarity with Endevor/Changeman or similar SCM tools.
- Experience in batch processing, job scheduling and production support.
- Debugging and performance tuning of mainframe apps.
- Ability to perform RCA and work in SDLC/Agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy mainframe apps.
- Code with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Monitor batch jobs and scheduling activities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer artifacts.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and procedures.
