Job summary

Capgemini seeks a Mainframe Engineer to translate divisional visions into scalable stock plan services software on a Z/OS mainframe. You will join an Agile team, handling requirements, development, and end-to-end testing with COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, and SQL.

Work on-site at multiple U.S. locations (Dallas, Jersey City, Merrimack, Chicago, Atlanta) and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high quality, performance, and reliable solutions, mentoring peers while maintaining

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in defining, developing, and leading an interactive team to implement scalable applications.
Mainframe development, automation, and support using COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ-Series, SQL.
Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, and reducing I/O and CPU time.

Responsibilities

Perform as a mainframe engineer in an Agile team, from requirements gathering to end-to-end testing.
Define and lead architectural work for scalable, extensible applications.
Provide on-site/on-call support and act as a cross-functional crisis management SME.
Develop applications on complex projects and ensure QA readiness.
Document multiple applications and establish full project life-cycle plans.
