Job summary

CBTS is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer IV to join our team. You will design, develop, test, and support mainframe applications, focusing on COBOL/CICS, SAS, JCL, and IBM z/OS in an Agile environment.

The role requires hands-on expertise, serving as a Mainframe SME, guiding architecture and development, and collaborating with engineering, operations, vendors, and business teams to deliver robust mainframe solutions.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience with AMTrust/AMAdministrator accounting system.
Strong COBOL and CICS experience.
IBM MVS/zOS, TSO, and JCL.
FTP (File Transfer Protocol).
Experience across Development and QA.
Direct experience with AMTrust/AMAdministrator; Global Plus/Unity experience is a minimum requirement.
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
Experience with MQ, Git/GitHub, and Agile development.
Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support mainframe applications and technical solutions.
Serve as a Mainframe SME and provide technical guidance on architecture and development.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive solutions from design through implementation.
Develop and maintain COBOL/CICS, SAS, JCL, and mainframe applications.
Support Dev/QA activities, production issues, and operational processes.
Manage technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, vendors, and business teams.
Contribute to mainframe platform modernization, migrations, and continuous improvement.
