Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Field Engineer to support federal facility assessment and hurricane recovery work in Kauai, Hawaii. You will connect engineering recommendations with field execution as teams evaluate damaged buildings, roofs, building envelopes, and utilities and move into emergency protection and permanent repairs.

Working onsite, you will collaborate with engineers, construction managers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 4+ years of field or construction engineering experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.
• EIT or PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document damage assessments with field observations, measurements, photos, and sketches.
• Oversee subcontractor work and ensure quality.
• Review drawings and specs with teams to clarify requirements.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and field questions.
• Observe repairs and escalate site conditions for engineering review.
• Assist with quantities, material tracking, progress reporting, and inspections.
• Maintain field records and support closeout following safety rules.
