Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Cost Estimator to support federal facility assessment and hurricane recovery work in Kauai, Hawaii. As engineers and field teams document damage, you will help price practical responses that may include roof and envelope repairs, interior drying, debris clearance, and utility restoration.

This role requires an onsite presence in Kauai, Hawaii and is eligible for per diem related expenses when appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field with 4+ years of cost estimating experience.
Valid driver’s license required and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for building, utility, and infrastructure repair scopes.
Collect and evaluate vendor quotes, subcontractor pricing, and historical cost information.
Review drawings, field assessments, specifications, and scope narratives to identify estimate requirements.
Document assumptions, exclusions, unit rates, and changes to estimate versions.
Support cost comparisons, change evaluations, and reconciliation of contractor proposals.
Coordinate with construction, engineering, and scheduling teams to align estimate assumptions.
