Job summary

CFD Research Corporation in Dayton, OH seeks an experienced IT Support/Help Desk professional to provide courteous, professional support to users and internal stakeholders, and to maintain operation of multi-user computer systems onsite.

The role requires a US passport citizenship, ability to obtain a security clearance, a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years (or 7 years without a degree) in PC support, and strong knowledge of Windows OS, Hyper-V, Microsoft 365, Windows Domain, firewalls, and LAN/WAN.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience (or 7 years in lieu of degree) in PC Support/Help Desk.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional support to users and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate setting up computing resources and installation of required software.
• Mentor other members of the team as needed.
• Efficient timely, and effective response to internal user requests for support/troubleshooting while adhering to internal operating procedures.
• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user/multi-platform computer systems for desktops and server environment.
• Monitor and manage system resources (CPU, disk usage, response times).
