Job summary

Fuel Cycle in Los Angeles is seeking an IT Systems Engineer – Tier I to support IT infrastructure, endpoints, identity, and cloud basics. This entry-level to early-career role works under IT Operations Lead and Director of IT, focusing on day-to-day support, system maintenance, and basic configuration.

You will gain exposure to Azure/AWS, M365, Okta, Intune, JAMF, scripting, and AI tool support, with onsite five days a week. Strong communication and willingness to learn are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years IT support experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Windows/macOS and productivity tools.
• Basic understanding of user account management (AD/Entra/OKTA).
• Exposure to endpoint management tools (Intune/JAMF).
• Foundational networking knowledge (DNS/DHCP/VLANs/VPN).
• Basic scripting ability (PowerShell/Bash).
• Comfort with documented procedures and escalation paths.
• Strong communication skills for non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Manage device enrollment and basic policy assignments (Intune/JAMF).
• Onboarding/offboarding: provision devices and configurations for new hires.
• Patch management and OS updates on endpoints; escalate issues.
• Maintain hardware inventory and asset records.
• Create/modify user accounts in OKTA, Entra ID, M365, and Google Workspace.
• Assign licenses and access following least-privilege guidelines.
• Support MFA enrollment and authentication issues.
• Monitor security dashboards and assist with patching and incident response.
• Assist with Azure/AWS admin tasks and M365 administration.
• Run and update PowerShell/Bash scripts; contribute to automation.
• Provide AI tool support and onboarding for Claude/MCP integrations.
