Job summary

Fuel Cycle is seeking an IT Systems Engineer - Tier I to support our LA-based IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. You will handle end-user support, device provisioning, and basic cyber hygiene while growing across cloud platforms and AI tooling.

You will work onsite five days a week at our Los Angeles location, reporting to IT Ops leadership. Ideal for an early-career technologist eager to broaden expertise across Windows/macOS, security, scripting, and automation.

Qualifications

• Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and connectivity.
• Manage device enrollment and basic policy assignments using Microsoft Intune, JAMF Pro, and NinjaOne.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding; provision devices and apply standard configurations.
• Perform routine patch management and OS updates across endpoints; escalate failures.
• Monitor security dashboards and assist with vulnerability remediation as directed by seniors.
• Assist with basic Azure and AWS administration under guidance from senior engineers.
• Run and maintain PowerShell and Bash scripts for routine IT tasks.
• Support AI tools onboarding, access provisioning, and usage guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows and macOS devices.
• Manage device enrollment, configuration, and policy assignments using Intune, JAMF Pro, and NinjaOne.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding; provision devices and prepare equipment for new recruits.
• Perform routine patch management and OS updates; escalate failures to senior staff.
• Maintain hardware inventory and asset tracking records.
• Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in OKTA, Entra ID, M365, and Google Workspace.
• Assist with MFA enrollment and resolve authentication issues.
• Monitor security dashboards (CrowdStrike, Defender) and escalate per IR procedures.
• Provision and decommission Cloud PCs and VMs in Azure and AWS; manage M365 settings.
• Support phishing triage and basic incident response tasks under supervision.
• Enforce endpoint security policies and encryption standards.
