Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems AB is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support for ~2400 users across 33+ locations, onsite in Milan, Tennessee. The role includes hardware/software troubleshooting, device deployment, and end-user training, with opportunities to work on ERP systems and networking projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a service desk or technical support environment, strong communication skills, and experience with AD, Citrix, VPN, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years combined progressive experience in a service desk or hands-on technical support environment
• Experience providing technical support in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, software deployment, video conferencing, CAD applications, and telecommunications solutions

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support of all business system software and hardware, including iSeries and/or ERP applications, end-user hardware, software and accounts/access
• Diagnose hardware/software faults and resolve technical problems, via phone or in person
• Document incidents and resolutions in a ticketing system, keeping users updated
• Collaborate with stakeholders to schedule workload and manage daily tasks
• Assist with purchasing processes, configure/install devices, and manage inventory
• Provide ad-hoc training for end users on hardware/software usage
• Maintain professional interface between IT and customers via email, phone, and in-person communication
• Be available for on-call responsibilities and participate in continuous improvement activities
