Job summary

Charter Research, based in Florida with locations in Orlando, seeks a Support Technician to uphold IT operations, maintain systems, and ensure data security across sites. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware/software support, identity management, and disaster recovery alignment.

You will work across Orlando and The Villages with occasional travel to other sites, providing training and guidance to non-technical staff while maintaining thorough documentation and security practices.

Qualifications

2–4 years in IT help desk, triage, or desktop support.
2+ years managing Microsoft online environments and directory services.
2+ years implementing and supporting MDM and helpdesk workflows.
Associate degree in IT/CS or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain corporate computers, apps, systems, networks, and cloud resources.
Install, configure, test hardware and software components.
Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions.
Ensure secure data storage and regular backups per disaster recovery plan.
Provide IT support to users in person, by phone, and remotely.
Deliver on-site support at Orlando and The Villages locations, with remote support as needed.
Develop and maintain system documentation, IT policies, and procedures.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
