Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an IT Service Technician to deliver onsite IT support in Edmond, OK. The role requires travel occasionally and the candidate must obtain A+, ITIL Foundation, HDI, and one of Security+, Network+, or Server+ within six months funded by GovCIO.

The technician will handle a broad range of duties from hardware installations to network and user support, with emphasis on problem resolution, asset management, and secure device handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 0–3 years experience.
• US Citizen required.
• Strong technical skills and analytical abilities.
• Experience in customer-facing technical support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support for the organization’s end users.
• Coordinate hardware/software maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with service teams to restore service.
• Install OS patches and software, perform routine system maintenance.
• Ensure devices are encrypted and inventory is up to date.
