Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an IT Service Technician to provide onsite support in Overland Park, KS. The role requires obtaining A+, ITIL Foundation, HDI, and one of Security+/Network+/Server+ within six months, with certification costs reimbursed.

Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, maintaining networks/servers, and delivering solutions across support, software integration, and operations. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School with 0–3 years or commensurate experience.
• USCitizen.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Technical proficiency across IT hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support and troubleshoot problems for users and equipment.
• Coordinate and perform maintenance for networks/servers and device configurations.
• Install OS patches and software via SCCM Center; support remote users over VPN/Citrix.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, asset inventory, and disposal processes.
• Respond to ServiceNow tickets, identify root causes, and coordinate with teams to restore services.
