Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an IT Service Technician to provide onsite support in Overland Park, KS. The role requires obtaining certifications (A+, ITIL Foundation, HDI) and one of Security+/Network+/Server+ within six months, with certification costs reimbursed by GovCIO.

Responsibilities include hands-on hardware/software support, service desk coordination, patching via SCCM, and ensuring devices are encrypted. Occasional travel may be required for site coverage.

Qualifications

• USCitizen status required.
• HighSchool diploma or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support for networks and devices.
• Coordinate maintenance and resolve problems via ServiceNow routing.
• Install patches and manage hardware via SCCM/Center.
• Deliver remote support for telework users and VPN/Citrix access.
• Perform inventory, asset handling and disposal per policy.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and end-user training.
