Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an on-site IT Support Specialist to serve as the primary contact for walk-up services in Needham, MA. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, configure endpoints, and collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to prevent recurrence of issues.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, a degree in CS/IT, and proficiency with Windows Desktop OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 apps. This contract is fully onsite.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar field.
• 2-3 years of experience or equivalent in education and experience.
• Aptitude for troubleshooting complex technical problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Desktop OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other M365 apps/services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite point of contact for walk-up IT services per ticket procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service while troubleshooting desk-side, conference rooms, server room, and remotely.
• Collaborate with IT team to identify root causes and develop durable solutions.
• Deploy, configure, maintain, repair, and upgrade computer hardware and peripherals.
• Maintain inventory of onsite hardware and software licenses.
• Install, repair, update, or uninstall desktop software.
