Job summary

TEKsystems, based in Columbia, MD, seeks a Desktop Support Technician for hands-on and remote technical support in a fast-paced enterprise. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and user access, deploy imaging, and manage endpoints with Intune and MECM/SCCM.

Strong customer service and Microsoft 365 skills are essential for efficient issue resolution. The role is contract to hire with onsite work in Columbia, MD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on and remote desktop support in a corporate setting.
• Experience deploying, imaging, and troubleshooting Windows devices with Intune or MECM/SCCM.
• Prior help desk experience supporting end users remotely.
• Strong troubleshooting across network, AD, Teams, Outlook, and Office 365.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 environments and good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 desk support via phone, remote tools, email, and in-person.
• Troubleshoot Windows, Office 365 apps, Outlook, Teams, and business apps.
• Manage AD user accounts and network connectivity issues.
• Deploy, image, configure, and maintain laptops/desktops and peripherals.
• Utilize Intune and MECM/SCCM for imaging and software deployment.
• Document steps and resolutions; track tickets and ensure timely closure.
• Collaborate with infra, networking, and app teams to resolve escalations.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding including device provisioning.
