Job summary

Ledgent Technology seeks an IT Support Specialist for a contract role onsite in Leander, TX. The specialist will provide hands-on technical assistance for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and business apps, while ensuring timely support for end users across the organization.

The ideal candidate has experience with Windows 10/11, iOS and Android, and strong customer service and communication skills. Travel to multiple locations may be required, and a related associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Information Technology or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in desktop support, technical support, help desk, or similar IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Experience supporting Apple iOS and Android devices.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and business applications.
• Respond to IT support requests submitted by phone, email, or in person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
• Install, configure, update, and maintain workstation hardware and software.
• Deploy and set up computers, monitors, printers, and related equipment.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory and asset records.
• Support printers, copiers, fax machines, and multifunction devices.
• Assist with administration and support of company phone systems and mobile devices.
• Deliver user training and guidance on software, hardware, and technology best practices.
• Document troubleshooting efforts, resolutions, and completed work.
• Travel periodically to support multiple business locations as needed.
• Perform additional IT-related duties as assigned.
