Sourcebooks in Naperville is seeking a detail-oriented IT Technical Support Specialist for a roughly two-month, on-site assignment. You will be the first contact for staff IT needs, handling requests by email, Teams, tickets, and in person, diagnosing issues and documenting steps taken.

This role supports a mixed Windows and macOS environment, emphasizes strong communication and training, and involves onboarding new hires, webinars, knowledge-base updates, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a 300+ user Active Directory environment with Microsoft 365.
• Strong IT hardware/software knowledge for Windows and macOS.
• Excellent communication, organizational, planning, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with asset management or project-tracking tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline IT support to staff via email, Teams, tickets, and in person
• Diagnose and resolve common technical issues, including password resets and connectivity problems
• Document interactions and troubleshooting steps for knowledge base articles
• Lead or support IT projects and onboarding activities
• Setup webinars, meetings, and user trainings
• Record time spent on tickets, projects, and walk-up interactions
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to improve processes
• Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude
