Job summary

GCS Recruitment Specialists is seeking a reliable Tech Support Engineer to provide on-site support for Operations facilities. You will manage end-user devices, printers, and networking equipment, follow SOPs, and participate in on-call rotations.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, independent work, and strong communication with users across multiple systems. Some travel to site locations may be involved.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on IT support experience.
• Experience imaging and deploying laptops; printer troubleshooting; basic networking; Windows 11; Linux.
• Experience working in a ticketing system environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and site shift schedules.

Responsibilities

• Image, configure, deploy, and maintain laptops and desktop systems.
• Provide technical support for Windows 11 and Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and application-related issues.
• Support user onboarding and workstation setup activities.
• Diagnose and resolve printer issues, including network-connected printers.
• Perform basic networking troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
• Respond to equipment failures and restore service following SOPs.
• Assist with asset management and equipment lifecycle activities.
• Work assigned support tickets and service requests within SLA requirements.
• Execute Change Management activities according to established procedures.
• Respond to emergent technical events impacting site operations.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary.
