Job summary

Cornell University seeks an IT Support Engineer III to deliver expert IT support across the Tech, Bowers, and Duffield Engineering IT Group. You will work on end-user devices using JAMF, MEMCM and InTune, collaborate with faculty, researchers, and staff, and lead within service offerings.

On-call duties and on-premise work on the Cornell campus in Ithaca are expected. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree with 3–5 years of experience, strong Linux knowledge, and proficiency in Active Directory,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 3–5 years or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of Windows and Apple fleet management (JAMF, MEMCM, InTune)
• Familiarity with Exchange, Active Directory and Group Policy
• Linux knowledge and ability to manage systems via SSH
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with campus teams and be available for after-hours emergencies
• Willingness to evolve IT workflows and suggest improvements
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects effectively

Responsibilities

• Deliver high level IT support across faculty and staff
• Lead and collaborate on IT service offerings within the team
• Support end users with campus-standard IT solutions
• Work with academics, students and staff on IT projects
• Be available for off-hours emergencies and on-call support
• Promote inclusive, collaborative work culture
