Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an IT Service Technician to provide onsite support in Edmond, OK. The role requires US citizenship and a high level of technical proficiency, with mandatory travel occasionally for site coverage. Certification within six months (A+, ITIL, HDI) is required with reimbursement.

The technician will install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware/software, coordinate with support teams, and provide on-site training for customers. On-call and VPN/Citrix support are included.

Qualifications

• High School with 0-3 years (or commensurate experience).
• USCitizen required.
• High degree of technical proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
• Preferred certifications include CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, and CompTIA Security+.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software; respond via ServiceNow.
• Support enterprise groups, including network and security operations; ensure encryption.
• Perform routine system maintenance, patches and OS updates; VPN/Citrix support.
• Assist with inventory, asset disposal, and post-release support.
