Job summary

GovCIO is hiring an IT Service Technician to provide on-site support in Lincoln, NE. The role requires travel for site coverage and obtaining certifications (A+, ITIL Foundation, HDI, and one of Security+/Network+/Server+ within six months).

Qualifications

• High School with 0-3 years (or commensurate experience)
• USCitizen
• High degree of technical proficiency
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
• Minimum 6 months’ experience troubleshooting Apple Macintosh software and hardware in a customer service role
• Certification in Microsoft Operating Systems
• Familiarity with SCCM remote resolution and with using SCCM to remotely complete software installation

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support and consult with support teams, customers and staff to resolve problems.
• Coordinate and perform maintenance for networks/servers and keep systems up to date.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain a wide range of products and equipment.
• Deliver services in technical support, systems refresh, software integration, and operations support.
• Identify, analyze and repair product failures and order/replace parts as needed.
• Provide on-site training of customer support personnel.
• Assist with on-call support via ServiceNow and remote troubleshooting.
• Ensure devices are encrypted and support enterprise groups like SOCs.
• Assist with asset inventory, disposal preparation and video conferencing setup.
• Support pre/post application releases and analyze end-user support trends.
