Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an IT Service Technician to provide onsite IT support for a federal customer in Seattle, WA. The role requires obtaining A+/ITIL Foundation/HDI certifications within six months, with certification costs reimbursed by GovCIO. Travel may be required for site coverage.

The candidate will resolve problems, perform routine maintenance, configure hardware, manage assets, and support video/ Conferencing setups while coordinating with support teams and customers.

Qualifications

• High School or commensurate experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• High degree of technical proficiency.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
• Preferred: 6+ months' troubleshooting Apple Macintosh software/hardware in a customer service role.
• Certifications in Microsoft Operating Systems and CompTIA suites.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support for the customer in Seattle, WA.
• Coordinate and perform operation and maintenance activities for networks/servers.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software; perform system patches via SCCM.
• Support remote users via VPN/Citrix and assist with device swaps.
• Assist with asset inventory, disposal, and video conferencing setups.
• Answer Service Desk requests and escalate as needed.
• Maintain device encryption and ensure proper cabling.
• Travel may be required for site coverage.
