Job summary

Kentro is seeking an experienced Customer Service Engineer to support VA-ESOM End Point Support and Operations Monitoring nationwide. This on-site role is based at the Anchorage VA Medical Center and requires active engagement with government IT environments.

Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, remote and desk-side support, Active Directory tasks, ticket monitoring in ServiceNow, and field-ready hardware/software troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or other engineering or technical discipline or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• 2+ years of experience in IT Technical Support, Help Desk or System Administration.

Responsibilities

• Support the Government with installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of computer systems and equipment.
• Deliver remote and desk-side technical support, respond to IT tickets, and perform diagnostics on hardware and software.
• Assist in user accounts setup, interfacing with software applications, and reporting.
• Maintain Active Directory and system accounts, support connectivity and client apps, and assist LAN/WAN services configuration.
• Monitor VA ServiceNow tickets and propose corrective actions for approved changes.
• Handle physical requirements and safety for equipment handling and installations.
• Utilize debugging protocols and processes to resolve issues quickly.
• Troubleshoot customer issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate equipment returns, deployments, unboxing, inventorying, and verification.
• Stand and move for extended periods as needed during onsite tasks.
