Job summary

Amazon Operations is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide nonstop global IT support for our Operations locations, keeping buildings and systems running smoothly while assisting with network troubleshooting, data cabling, and system administration.

You will collaborate with management and staff to deliver reliable IT solutions, manage local projects, and help maintain security policies and procedures across varied environments. The role requires physical mobility and regional travel.

Qualifications

• 1+ years with Windows Server techs incl AD, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
• 2+ years troubleshooting in a multi-user, high-availability environment
• 2+ years PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and decommissioning
• 1+ years delivering IT client, server, and network services
• 2+ years networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, the OSI model, and TCP/IP
• 2+ years supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems in a corporate environment
• 2+ years supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: 2+ years of computer networking experience
• Preferred: Experience supporting video conferencing and teleconferencing equipment

Responsibilities

• We engineer and troubleshoot networks, install data cabling, and administer systems across varied software and hardware environments
• – We keep infrastructure networking and computing systems available during production hours
• – We work with management and staff to provide analytical and technical support that improves IT solutions
• – We manage local technical projects
• – We maintain and develop policies, procedures, and processes
• – We identify root causes behind operational issues and process inefficiencies
• – We support customers across multiple nearby buildings and remote locations
• – We travel within our local or regional area to support our customers
• – We may need to move up to 49 lbs and stand or walk during shifts of up to 12 hours
