Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring for an intermediate IT Help Desk role in Portland, OR. You will respond to desktop, printer, VPN, and application issues, escalate when needed, and participate in deploying and decommissioning hardware. Strong AD, G-Suite, and ticketing experience required.

The contract-based position is onsite in Portland, offering diverse benefits and opportunities to support enterprise systems across teams.

Qualifications

Strong technical aptitude and fast learner with ability to understand workflow constraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization and time management; able to work independently.
Working knowledge of IT protocols, operating systems, and standards.
Solid knowledge of PC hardware, printers, and desktop equipment.

Responsibilities

Respond to IT issues via ticket system, chat, phone or walk-up and resolve or escalate as needed.
Escalate and coordinate referrals, update stakeholders, and close tickets.
Install or reconfigure desktop hardware, peripherals, software, OS, networking, and telecom equipment.
Process onboarding/offboarding and account changes via AD and G-Suite.
Assist in deploying new desktops/laptops and decommission hardware post-offboarding.
