Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Technician to provide direct support for 1200+ users on-site at our main office in Portland, OR. You will handle hardware/software issues, manage tickets, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth technology usage.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multi-tasking, and patient service; prior IT helpdesk experience and familiarity with AV, printing, and file-sharing tools are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years’ experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, Windows OS and hardware troubleshooting.
• Able to triage multiple issues and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Receive technical support requests from internal users via phone, email, and online ticketing system.
• Provide first-line contact and resolution for hardware, software and application problems.
• Interact with end-users professionally, delivering quality service.
• Escalate issues per HD procedures.
• Act as liaison between users and internal IT staff and maintain ongoing status updates.
• Communicate ticket status regularly to users and seek knowledge improvements.
• Assist on special projects; training will be provided.
