V Group Inc. is seeking an Entry - IT Specialist to provide front-line IT support onsite in Columbia, SC.

This 12-month contract-to-hire role focuses on delivering high-quality, customer-focused assistance to agency staff and maintaining IT operations in a formal financial environment. You will troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and software, manage user accounts and tickets, and coordinate with MSPs as needed, while adhering to security policies and incident response timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience providing IT help desk support to staff in a professional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve routine issues with Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Customer-facing experience in IT, banking, or professional services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking IT assistance by phone, email, or in person.
• Deliver consistent, high-touch support with a focus on first-response resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues with desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and standard software applications.
• Escalate complex problems to senior IT staff or MSPs while keeping users informed.
• Process account setup, password resets, and access requests in line with agency policies and security standards.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, including tracking equipment assignment, receipt, deployment, and retirement, and keep inventory records accurate and audit-ready.
• Monitor and perform occasional rotating after-hours work to address incidents, support system maintenance, and meet deadlines.
