Job summary

Forte Technologies seeks a motivated Service Desk/On-site Technician to support client environments, including hands-on server and firewall work, on-site visits, and remote queue coverage.

You will document findings in real time, adhere to SOPs, and ensure client satisfaction while maintaining high standards under tight deadlines. A+, MCP or MCSE are preferred; travel to Gold River/Sacramento required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel to client sites for on-site support.
• Experience with IT services and customer-facing roles is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Clean driving record and ability to commute to Gold River/Sacramento area.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites to install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair hardware, software, and network issues.
• Work with a remote team when necessary to solve complex issues.
• Serve as the primary onsite point of contact, resolving issues to client satisfaction.
• Back up the Help Desk queue when no onsite visits are scheduled, processing tickets in Autotask.
• Monitor and respond to Help Desk requests using remote tools.
• Document onsite work, findings, and resolutions in real time.
• Follow escalation SOPs for onsite/remote handoffs.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 and other cloud-based suites onsite and remotely.
• Provide first-level support for client software, OS, network and hardware issues.
• Maintain client site documentation in IT Glue, including diagrams and inventories.
• Document internal procedures and performance metrics.
