Job summary

VC3, Inc. is seeking an IT Field Engineer I in Hibbing, MN, to provide hands‑on IT support at client sites, including hardware and software installation, network troubleshooting, and guidance on technical standards.

You will work with our team to resolve issues and ensure client success with timely communication. The role requires driving to client sites, a valid driver's license, and 2 years of relevant technical experience or 1 year in VC3 Service Technician roles.

Qualifications

2 years of relevant technical experience OR 1 year experience in Service Technician I or II roles at VC3
Experience managing Windows Client Operating Systems (10,11), Microsoft 365, Virus & Security
TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS knowledge

Responsibilities

Drive to client sites as scheduled and communicate delays to Service Coordinator
Install and set up new computer hardware, software, and peripherals
Troubleshoot onsite workstation and printer issues
Collaborate with VC3 staff for connectivity issues including ISPs, wireless networks, VPN, RDS and Citrix
Educate and guide clients on technical standards and best practices
Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets
Suggest improvements for hardware and software
Maintain accurate timesheets and troubleshooting notes
