Job summary

VC3 is seeking an IT Field Engineer I to support client sites in Grand Rapids, MN. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and networks while delivering excellent service and timely communication.

You will travel to client locations, work with VPN/RDS/Citrix, and guide customers on best practices. A valid driver’s license and on-site presence as needed are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of relevant technical experience, or one year as VC3 Service Technician I/II.
• Experience managing Windows Client Operating Systems (10/11), Microsoft 365, Virus & Security, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client sites as scheduled and communicate delays promptly.
• Install and set up hardware, software and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot onsite issues with workstations and printers.
• Collaborate with VC3 staff on connectivity issues including ISPs, wireless networks, DHCP, DNS, and VPN/RDS/Citrix.
• Educate clients on technical standards and best practices.
• Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets.
• Suggest improvements to hardware and software.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and troubleshooting notes.
• Additional duties as assigned.
