Forgen in Rocklin, CA is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to deliver onboarding/offboarding, manage devices, and provide in-person and remote desktop support. The role maintains asset inventories, creates KB articles, and supports IT operations to ensure smooth user experiences.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, clear communication, and adherence to procedures in a primarily on-site Rocklin environment with occasional off-site tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; IT cert preferred.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 admin.
• 1–3 years of help desk or desktop support.
• Familiar with Freshservice and asset/inventory tracking.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute IT onboarding/offboarding procedures, configuring workstations and devices.
• Maintain hardware/software asset inventory and lifecycle.
• Image and deploy new workstations using imaging tools.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles for end users.
• Provide in-person desktop support at Rocklin office; remote support when needed.
• Ensure SLAs are met and incidents are documented and escalated when needed.
