Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a Customer Operations Associate to join our onsite team in Miramar/Fort Lauderdale. The role covers AR/AP, billing, and contract administration for HVAC installation projects, with emphasis on accurate cost tracking and timely invoicing.

You will partner with project owners, the installation team, subcontractors, and the sales group to ensure smooth billing processes and reliable project data in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One to two years of related work experience, preferably within a service / sales, or technical work environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.
• Experience accounts payable and accounts receivables.
• Ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence.
• Ability to prioritize work activities based upon financial impact to desired business goals.
• Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Internet applications.
• Position is onsite full time.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Tracks and supports the HVAC installation contract business, including AR/AP and billing.
• Update project cost schedules monthly with project owners.
• Assist installation team with cost and revenue tracking to reach revenue goals.
• Run query reports, reconcile costs, and handle billing documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales and subcontractors on project bookings and contract documentation.
• Coordinate material shipping, receiving, and cataloging across projects.
• Provide additional operations administration support as required.
